Murray Plumb & Murray is pleased to announce Kristin Hebert-Grande‘s recent appointment as a guardian ad litem.
In Maine, a guardian ad litem (GAL) is appointed by the court to represent the best interests of a child or incapacitated individual during legal proceedings. GALs play an important role in family law matters, including custody and parental rights cases, and guardianship matters. Their responsibility is to provide the court with an independent, informed perspective focused on the well-being of those they serve.
Kristin brings a well-rounded perspective to this role. Her practice spans family law, trust and estate planning and administration, and business and real estate matters, giving her experience across the types of issues guardians ad litem are often involved in. This appointment demonstrates Kristin’s commitment to serving Maine’s children and families and her strong ability to navigate sensitive situations with care and sound judgment.
