Maine lawmakers consider end of life legislation

Discussing death can be a difficult topic, especially when it comes to having conversations with our loved ones. In our line of work, as estate planning attorneys, we recognize the importance of these conversations.
Last week, Maine lawmakers considered a bill that would allow doctors to prescribe a fatal dose of medication to patients wishing to end their life. It’s a topic with many strong feelings on both sides of the issue, and we’ll be watching to see what happens.
