Earlier this week, attorneys and staff members participated in a firmwide Day of Service at the South Portland Food Cupboard, spending an afternoon supporting the organization’s ongoing food distribution efforts.
The team assisted with a variety of projects, including cleaning and organizing refrigeration units, preparing distribution areas, detailing delivery vehicles, and deep-cleaning common spaces. Volunteers also helped set up for the Food Cupboard’s evening food distribution, ensuring the organization was ready to serve community members later that day.
In addition to donating their time, Murray Plumb & Murray employees collected and donated more than 200 pounds of food to support the Food Cupboard’s mission of distributing food to community members in Cumberland and York Counties.
The South Portland Food Cupboard serves thousands of individuals and families each year, and depends heavily on the support of volunteers and community partners. We’re proud to contribute both time and donations to support an organization doing such meaningful work.
