Murray Plumb & Murray is looking for second year law students interested in a position as a summer associate in Portland, Maine for the summer of 2020.

Our ideal candidate has an interesting and engaging personality, demonstrates academic excellence, displays an entrepreneurial drive, is interested in litigation, and has a long-term commitment to living in Maine.

We are a well-established law firm, and we aim to maintain a reputation for high caliber work product practicing throughout the state and New England. Our attorneys work in a wide range of practice areas, and a summer associate should expect to work with most of the lawyers at the firm on a wide variety of tasks, ranging from assisting with transactional work to support for ongoing litigation.

Please keep writing samples to 5-10 pages in length; if a longer piece is submitted, we ask that the applicant direct us to the 5-10 page section they wish us to review. The applicant’s cover letter should describe why they are interested in our firm, why they wish to practice in Portland, and why they think that they would thrive long term at Murray, Plumb & Murray.
