Bo Bigelow

Of Counsel

I’ve always been interested in using my law degree to help people. The special education system can be baffling, and parents often need someone on their side to help them understand and advocate for their rights.

Affiliations & Recognition

Co-founder, DISORDER: The Rare Disease Film Festival

Bo’s interest in the law began early – as the son of a patent attorney, he often had conversations at home about the law and being a lawyer. That spark was fostered by a friendship with a criminal defense attorney who showed him the critical thinking required to formulate winning arguments. By the time he reached law school, Bo’s passion was firmly in place – public interest law and its positive impact on the lives of others in need.

With Murray Plumb & Murray since 2015, Bo is of counsel with a focus on special education and employment law. Previously, he was of counsel to Sadis Goldberg LLP in New York City, where he specialized in consumer protection and employment law. Prior to that, he was a staff attorney for the Administration for Children’s Services in New York, prosecuting child abuse and neglect cases in Brooklyn Family Court.

As the parent of a special-needs child, Bo is active in organizations that support children and families facing similar challenges. He is a co-founder of DISORDER: The Rare Disease Film Festival, which assembles rare-disease advocates, families, and other stakeholders to educate each other and collaborate on cures and treatments.
