Peter Murray recently participated in a panel discussion as part of Rescuing the Rule of Law, a monthly television series produced by Maine Lawyers for the Rule of Law. The series explores current challenges to constitutional protections, due process, and the role of the rule of law in preserving democratic institutions.
The panel discussed a recent legal dispute between the State of Maine and the U.S. Department of Agriculture involving federal funding for school lunches. The conversation highlighted the role courts play in reviewing government action and ensuring legal processes are followed.
Peter joined Maine Attorney General Aaron Frey, civil litigation attorney Melissa Hewey, and host Roger Katz for the conversation. During the program, Peter described the case as “a great example of how the rule of law can work and should work.”
