    Biography

Lauren is an estate planning attorney serving clients all over greater Portland, Maine. She has worked with young parents and small business owners in Cape Elizabeth, single professionals in Portland, empty nesters in Freeport, a widowed nonagenarian in Saco, and a mix of clients who represent all of those life phases in between. She also meets with clients all over Maine through the use of virtual meetings.

In addition to Lauren’s professional credentials described below, she brings her personal experience as a wife, mom, daughter, sister, friend, and pet lover to her work. She has experienced many pivotal moments in all of these roles, including marriage, birth, loss, estrangement, Alzheimers, and supporting loved ones with addiction and in making gender affirming decisions. Good estate planning involves understanding people and relationships, in addition to technical know-how, and Lauren prides herself in both sets of skills.

Since law school, Lauren has clerked for Maine Supreme Judicial Court, worked as an administrator for the Maine Judicial Branch, and practiced law at two Portland law firms. She operated Weliver Law prior to joining Murray Plumb & Murray.

Lauren lives in Cumberland, Maine with her husband, two children, two dogs, and two cats. When she’s not at work, she’s either with her family, walking her dogs, or riding her Peloton.
