Bangor Daily News: Lamoine property developers eyed for ‘glamping’ resort is now permanently protected

Beth Boepple and Sean Turley represented a group of Lamoine residents, Growing Lamoine Responsibly, who fought against an Arizona developer who wanted to construct a massive luxury glamping resort adjacent to Acadia National Park. They assisted the clients in drafting a moratorium, and then obtaining passage of the moratorium by vote of the citizens of Lamoine, which prevented the resort from going forward under Lamoine’s then-existing zoning.

The conservation of the lands described in this article could not have happened without the efforts of our clients getting the moratorium in place, which afforded the time for the conservation efforts to be successful.
